Located in the historical centre of Ptuj (population 20.000), it hosts diversified programming and many events. We have lots of experience with young audiences. The cinema operates under the local youth centre which also has lots of experience with youngsters, as well as different types of arts, educational & leisure activities, on the cross-border basis as well. We would like to equip the spare room in our cinema to be used as our second screening room and a club room for different types of activities, with portable cinema equipment to also be used outdoors. Their mission is to provide all audiences throughout Ireland with access to the best of Irish, world and independent cinema, via our national network of non-profit and voluntary organisations. access>CINEMA's purpose is to deliver a diverse range of quality cinema, that is not available on commercial cinema screens, to local Irish audiences; to provide advice, expertise and support for cultural film programming and technical presentation; to support and present the work of Irish filmmakers; and to grow, develop and promote opportunities to expand access to and participation with cultural cinema exhibition regionally. Members are primarily a mixture of professional arts centres and voluntary film societies and they exist in many different types of venues, both large and small, throughout the country.
